Privacy
The short version: this site doesn't use cookies or track you. If you sign up for the newsletter, we keep your email address to send it, and nothing else. Last updated 16 October 2026.
Who we are
Manchester Tonight is an independent listings guide, and we are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at [email protected] about anything on this page.
Browsing the site
We don't set cookies, and we don't use advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details (such as your browser type and the page you asked for) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The Friday newsletter
If you sign up, we collect your email address so we can send you the weekly what's-on email. Our legal basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We don't sell or share your address, and we keep it until you unsubscribe.
Signups are handled on Beehiiv's own website: the "Join the list" button opens our signup page there, at manchestertonight.beehiiv.com. Beehiiv stores subscriber details and sends the emails for us, under Beehiiv's privacy policy. It may process your details outside the UK under its own safeguards, and its pages may set their own cookies. This site itself sets no cookies.
Emails you send us
If you email us, for example to add or correct a listing, we use what you send to reply and to update the listings. We keep those emails only as long as we need them. Listings show venue details only, never your personal details.
AI assistants and the data feed
The MCP server and data feed only serve the public listings. Cloudflare processes requests to them in the same way as page visits, and we don't store who asked what.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
